Why one should leave wounds alone!
Well, I learned that lesson the hard way! For weeks now, I’ve had a sore on my finger which just wasn’t healing. It started off as something small, and I picked at it, so it got bigger, and again I picked at it, bigger it goes, and so on. Eventually I ended up with something rather big, which just wasn’t getting better. I went to uncle doctor, and at first he prescribed some anti-biotics, and a cream, hoping that this will sort out the issue. Which it didn’t, so last week Thursdya I went back, and surgery had to take place.
Now, I’m a big baby when it comes to these gory things, so I didn’t look at the actual operation, but my wife tells me he cut around the affected area, and then scooped it out. Thereafter he yanked out more icky tissue, and stitched it all up. I did see there was an awful lot of blood from all of this, but that’s apparently normal.
So, now Im sitting with a middle finger I can’t quite use at the moment until the wound’s been nicely healed, and the stitching has been removed, which should be a bit later this week. It makes typing a bit tricky, and I can’t click the right-mouse button. Fortunately it doesn’t affect my console playing too much, and I got a lot of gaming time in with the just released Fable II. So it’s not all bad!
