Mixed blessings

It’s very nearly weekend. This morning was a nightmare getting to work, due to our lovely load-shedding company, Eskom. Took me 25 minutes to get through a traffic light, and I believe I still got of lightly!

My car. Destroyed. Well, probably not that bad. It was still overheating, so my dad was looking at it. We got a new radiator cap, as the other one was leaking and that could’ve been the cause of the overheating. This morning when my dad drove with the car, it just died on the way to work. It’s towed back home, but I’m not happy. I just spent R2000 to get it fixed, and now it’s worse! I don’t have this kind of money, I need to save for the wedding. I feel like crying a bit even…

We got hold of Burnout Paradise yesterday. I really like it, it’s a whole new experience compared to the other Burnout games. I now have a little too much games to play I think though.

Hello Darkness

Yesterday we went to see the wedding people. We got the flowers sorted, and the table decorations and such. There’s still so many other things to do!

And lo! When we finally got home last night, Eishkom decided to give us no power. This meant no games or other nightly rituals before bedtime. Yay.

We’ve been without power now for the last hour and a half about. Got to love load shedding. Planning is a swearword in Eskom’s dictionary, I’m sure.

Rented Hard Candy for this weekend, it looks like a pretty decent thriller.

And my car’s ready for collection. Mobility!
