Never a good thing to get paid on a weekend! I did a long-overdue PC upgrade, which cost me more then I anticipated. Which in itself isn’t too bad, apart from the fact that the end of October is a terrible month when it comes to game releases. There’s at least 10 games coming out in that period that I would like to get. Although I’ve prioritised Fallout 3 and Guitar Hero World Tour at the moment.

Back to my new PC, it’s quite a nice change to be able to actually play games on a PC, as a for the last two years all my gaming has been happening on consoles. So I’ve got quite a bit of catching up to do, although I’ll have to still get a decent screencard to play most games at a decent rate. I go the cheapest one I could get to just get started. It works, but there’s plenty room for improvement.

I’ve got Vista running on my machine now, which is quite a change from Linux again. One of the next big things I need to do, is to get my MP3 collection updated on Windows, it was all good on Linux, but I lost a lot of the OS specific stuff there. All in good time though.
